Beauty Among Ruins Review

Updated: Nov 24, 2021

Beauty Among Ruins by J'nell Ciesielski drew me in from chapter one, and held me captive until the last beautifully-written, deeply satisfying page.

The descriptions, the imagery, the subtle-but-absolutely-brilliant nods to Beauty and the Beast, the romance, the threads of mystery, and, of course, the amazing cast of characters all blended perfectly together in this work of art.

Prepare to be swept up in the rugged beauty of 20th century Scotland—an ancient land on the brink of change—where you’ll meet some incredible (and other infuriating) characters.

I’d recommend this book to anyone who will listen to me fans of Downton Abbey, Beauty and the Beast, Kate Breslin, Roseanna M. White, and Abigail Wilson.
